The Practical Women team is now fully back at work. However, like many sectors of the Construction Industry, we are very busy.

We are also working hard on developing our new project – teaching people DIY skills.

We have set up a DIY Workshop in South Bristol, delivering a range of DIY Courses and Clubs.

We currently have a long waiting list and will not be able to take on any new larger projects until Spring 2024. We may still be able to take on some smaller projects, but will not be able to deal with any urgent work until New Year 2024.

We are doing our best to keep up with the demand, but please bear with us, if you don’t get an immediate response to an enquiry.

Practical Women are a team of professional Bristol-based women. We offer a variety of practical services for the home:

• Kitchen & Bathroom Fitting
• Electrical & Plumbing Services
• Painting & Decorating
• Carpentry
• Tiling
• General Maintenance

We are happy to undertake a wide range of different projects; from small maintenance jobs, such as minor plumbing repairs, moving sockets, hanging curtain rails, putting up shelves etc.  through to larger projects such as fitting kitchens & bathrooms, installing decking and re-wiring houses.

We also collaborate with other local tradespeople. We have many contacts within the industry whom we can recommend to provide additional services. If we are unable to carry out your work for you, then we can recommend someone who can.
